The service

Method provides AI-assisted fitness and nutrition coaching, including photo-based food logging, training programs, progress tracking, check-ins, and optional connection to a human coach. Features may change as the product evolves.

Health disclaimer

Method is a general wellness product, not a medical service. AI responses and coaching content are informational and can be inaccurate. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise, nutrition, or fasting program, and stop if you experience adverse effects. You use the program at your own risk.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 to use Method. You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of the information you log. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other users.

Subscriptions and billing

Any paid subscription to Method AI is bought inside the iPhone app, through Apple's App Store. This website does not sell anything and never takes a payment.

That means Apple holds the money, not us. Apple bills you, Apple renews you, and Apple is where you cancel or ask for a refund. To do either, open your Apple subscription settings on your iPhone or use Apple's own refund request page. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you and we cannot refund one, because the payment never passes through us. Email us and we will point you at the right Apple screen and help with anything that is on our side.

What a subscription costs, what it includes and how long any trial runs are shown to you in the app before you buy. They are deliberately not written here, so this document can never disagree with the screen you actually saw.

Content

You own the content you upload (photos, logs, messages) and grant us the license needed to operate the service on it. The Method programs, branding, and app content are ours and may not be copied or resold.

Exercise demonstrations

The demonstration films in the Training section are licensed from MuscleWiki. Their branding is part of each film and we show every film as it was delivered, uncropped and with nothing drawn over it, which is the other half of what that licence asks of us. Nothing is downloaded or kept: a film is streamed through our own server while you watch it, is never stored on the way past, and is fetched again the next time you press play. Because our server fetches it rather than your device, MuscleWiki receives nothing about you.

Coaching, your data, and deleting your account

Connecting a human coach is your choice, and a connected coach can read most of what you log, change your targets and training plan, and write the workout programme you train on. They cannot read your chats with the AI coach, the summary the AI keeps of those chats, or what you told us privately during setup: your injuries, the foods you avoid, what motivates you, and anything about your history with food.

Deleting your account removes your profile, your logs, your photos, your chats and your coaching history from our live systems straight away. It does not reach everything, and we would rather list the exceptions than write a sentence this paragraph goes on to contradict: backups take up to 14 days to age out, our hosting provider expires its own on its own schedule, corrections you made to a food are kept indefinitely, and what has already gone to Google, Apple and RevenueCat is theirs rather than ours. Each of those is named in our Privacy Policy, and a fuller version is in the app under Settings.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Method is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. Every version carries a version number and a date at the top of this page, and the copy in the app carries the same ones, so you can always tell which version you are reading and name it if you write to us. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If we change something material about what we collect or who receives it, we will say so in the app rather than only here.
